Her most recent, Man Alive!, was named a Washington Post Notable Book of the Year. She is also the author of The Bowl Is Already Brokenwhich the New York Times praised as “a tart, affectionate satire of the museum world’s bickering and scheming.” Her first novel, The Frequency of Souls, won the American Academy’s Rosenthal Award and the James Jones First Novel Award. She lives in DC and has received ten Artist Fellowships from the DC Commission on the Arts. Her story “Russian Ending or American Ending?,” published in the anthology Furious Gravity, edited by Melissa Scholes Young, has been nominated for a 2021 Pushcart Prize. JMoore-biopicJenny Moore, cofounder of NoveltyDC, has provided thoughtful, constructive guidance to writers for two decades. In years of master-level workshops and one-on-one sessions, Jenny has helped published authors of fiction and nonfiction improve their work. She has taught writing at Grub Street and the Writers Center and has been a resident at the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation.
